Mini Apple Pie Pops

Enjoy these Apple Pie Pops as a fun, rustic treat that’s perfect for cozy fall days!

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
  • 2 pre-made pie crusts (or homemade if preferred)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon flour (for dusting)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Melted butter (optional, for extra golden finish)

Optional Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Apples:
    • Peel, core, and finely chop the apples into small cubes.
    • In a bowl, combine chopped apples with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well so the apples are evenly coated.
  3. Roll Out the Dough:
    • On a floured surface, roll out the pie crusts until they’re about 1/8-inch thick.
    • Use a round cookie cutter (about 3 inches wide) to cut out circles from the dough.
  4. Assemble the Pops:
    • Place a lollipop stick in the center of half the dough circles.
    • Add a spoonful of the apple mixture onto the center of each of these dough circles.
    • Place another dough circle on top, pressing the edges together gently.
    • Use a fork to crimp the edges for a rustic look.
  5. Egg Wash and Bake:
    • Brush each pie pop with the egg wash (beaten egg) to give them a golden finish.
    • Place the pie pops on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Optionally, brush with melted butter for extra flavor and crispness.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the pops are golden brown.
  7. Optional Glaze:
    • Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together in a small bowl until smooth. Drizzle over the pie pops once they’ve cooled slightly.

Serving Suggestion:

  • Serve warm with a side of vanilla ice cream or drizzle the pops with the optional glaze for a little extra sweetness. They make great grab-and-go treats for fall picnics or parties!
