Wrangling Animals and Toddlers for a Christmas Card

This year, we attempted the impossible: a perfect family Christmas photo on the farm. Spoiler alert: it did not go as planned.

The toddlers refused to wear their matching overalls, opting instead for superhero capes. The chickens photobombed every shot, the dog wouldn’t sit still, and the cow decided to relieve herself mid-frame. And just as we got everyone into position, a rogue gust of wind blew the hats off the kids and sent the camera flying.

We ended up with one blurry photo where everyone (including the goat) is eating a candy cane. So, if you get our card this year, just know it was a labor of love—and chaos.
