Chicken Tenderloin Parm: A Classic with a Tender Twist

When life gives you chicken tenderloins, make parm night legendary. This recipe skips the fuss but keeps the flavor, delivering crispy, cheesy, saucy goodness that’s just as impressive as it sounds. Warning: Your family might start requesting this on a weekly basis, so stock up on marinara.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1 lb chicken tenderloins
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

For the Topping:

  • 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prep the Tenderloins

  • Pat chicken tenderloins dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.

2. Bread the Chicken

  • Coat each tenderloin in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the egg mixture, then press into the breadcrumb mixture to coat evenly.

3. Fry to Crispy Perfection

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded tenderloins in batches, about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

4. Assemble the Parm

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the fried tenderloins in a single layer in a baking dish.
  • Spoon marinara sauce over each tenderloin, then top with shredded mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan.

5. Bake and Serve

Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve with pasta, garlic bread, or a side salad.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
