Ham and Cheese Sliders

Ham and Cheese Sliders: The Snack That’s Always Invited to the Party

These ham and cheese sliders are your go-to recipe for when you need something fast, delicious, and downright crowd-pleasing. They’re so addictive, you might need to make a double batch—because no one can eat just one. Perfect for game days, lazy Sundays, or anytime you’re in the mood for something comforting with a touch of fancy (hello, buttery topping).

Ingredients

For the Sliders:

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (or any soft dinner rolls)
  • ½ lb deli ham (thinly sliced)
  • 6-8 slices of Swiss cheese (or your favorite melty cheese)

For the Butter Glaze:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning (optional, but amazing)

Instructions

1. Preheat and Prep

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it. (You’ll thank yourself later when cleanup is a breeze.)

2. Assemble the Sliders

  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact as one big sheet. Place the bottom half in your prepared baking dish.
  • Layer the ham evenly across the bottom rolls, followed by the Swiss cheese. Place the top half of the rolls back on top to form your sliders.

3. Mix the Butter Glaze

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds. (This is the secret sauce, literally.)

4. Glaze and Bake

  • Pour or brush the butter glaze evenly over the sliders, making sure every roll gets a little love. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is perfectly melty.

5. Serve and Enjoy

  • Let the sliders cool for a few minutes before cutting them apart (if you can wait that long). Serve warm and watch them disappear faster than you can say “cheesy goodness.”

Bring these sliders to your next potluck and prepare for a feeding frenzy. Just make sure to snag one for yourself before they’re gone—otherwise, you’ll be left licking the butter glaze off the tray. (No judgment if you do.)
